The Glenlyon Lodge No. 346 S.C.

Bro Howard Barrett is a professional engineer and project manager and holds a M.Sc. Construction Engineering & Management and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of West Indies.\r\n\r\nHe is currently the Senior Portfolio Manager at the Urban Development Corporation, a position he has occupied for the past three and a half years, with responsibility for the implementation of a variety of urban development projects. He was the Chief Civil Engineer at the Bahamas Ministry of Works for seven years before assuming his current position and before then a Project Engineer at Sangster International Airport. Bro. Howard Barrett is also a twenty year veteran of the Jamaica Defense Force, retiring with the rank of Major in 2001. He is also a past alum of Kingston College.\r\n\r\nBro. Howard Barrett was Initiated into Freemasonry on Wednesday Septembe12, 1990 in The Glenlyon Lodge 346 S.C. where up until 2002 held a variety of offices. He is a Founder member of the Kingston College Lodge 9469 EC in 1992 serving as both Wardens before ascending to the chair as Worshipful Master of the Kingston College Lodge for the period 2000-2001. He was later affiliated to Lodge Fort Nassau No 1819 SC in the District Grand Lodge of the Bahamas in 2004 and assumed the office of Secretary for the period 2004 to 2009 and became Right Worshipful Master for the period 2009 – 2010. He is also the first affiliate to Providence Lodge No 928 I.C. in 2004 and served as Secretary for this Lodge from 2006 to 2010.
