Greetings Brethren All,
\r\n
It is with a sense of pride and humility that I say thanks to the Brethren of The Glenlyon Lodge for electing and installing me as Right Worshipful Master of this illustrious Lodge for the 2014-2015 Administrative Year. It is my distinct pleasure to serve as the Lodge’s 170th Master and I give my assurance that I am committed to continue the excellent work of my predecessors in ensuring that The Glenlyon Lodge maintains its position as one of Jamaica’s premier Lodges.
\r\nAs I take the mantle of leadership, it is my intention to manage the affairs of the Lodge in accordance with the established global objectives while focusing on some short term goals to improve effectiveness. These goals include inter alia: improvement in the Lodge’s financial position, improvement in the relief of Brethren and widows, improvement of masonic knowledge through mentorship and education and strengthening of ties with Sister Lodges.\r\n\r\nAs is the situation with other Lodges locally and internationally, the Lodge faces significant challenges with regards quantity, quality and retention of regular members. This therefore necessitates the implementation of programs to recruit the right members and engage these members in various activities to grow the Lodge. The current membership is a good mix of youth and experience which complements each other and augurs well for the future. As we seek to improve our visibility as a Lodge, we will increase our efforts to expand our Charity/Outreach program as well as our website and Newsletter publications. Our fraternal linkage with Lodge Fort Nassau No. 1819 SC from the Commonwealth of The Bahamas is progressing well and further steps are being advanced to formalize the twinning of the Lodges.\r\n\r\nThe outlook for the 2014-2015 year of administration is very positive and careful, aggressive implementation of the plans and programs will ensure that The Glenlyon Lodge continues on a path of growth and success.\r\n\r\nTo the Brethren of the Lodge, their families and the wider fraternity in general I bring greetings on behalf of the Lodge and wish for us all a very healthy, productive, and successful year in all our undertakings.\r\n\r\n
